Badge usage
The badge is the only thing this directory sells, and it is not sold. What keeps it worth anything is that it can be checked — and that a badge being used wrongly is something you can recognise and report.
What a correct badge looks like
A correctly used badge carries a certificate number and links somewhere you can confirm it. The number is the whole mechanism: without one there is nothing to check, and a badge that cannot be checked is a picture.

The assets
A certified agency receives these with its welcome email, alongside the profile URL and the certificate number. They are also here, because an agency that has lost the email should not end up rebuilding the badge by hand — that is where an altered one comes from.

Who may display it
Only an agency whose certification is currently active. Certification runs for one year and is re-verified annually. If it lapses, is suspended or is revoked, the badge must come down.
Rules
- Link the badge to your Client First profile or to your certificate verification page, so anyone can check it.
- Do not alter the mark, its colours or its proportions, and do not combine it with other marks in a way that implies endorsement.
- Do not imply the badge guarantees a claim outcome, a price, or the performance of any policy.
- Do not use it for an office, entity or licence that was not the one certified.
- Remove it within seven days of certification ending for any reason.
How to check a badge
Anyone can look up a number at the verification page and see whether it is valid, who holds it, when it was issued and when it renews. A number that returns nothing is the clearest signal there is.
Reporting misuse
If you see the badge on a site belonging to an agency that is not certified, or a number that does not verify, tell us. Enforcement is what keeps the badge worth anything.
