Client First Certified

Code of ethics

The practice standards describe what a certified agency does. These describe how it behaves — including in the moments where nobody would find out.

Version v1.

  1. 01

    Client-first recommendations

Carrier and product recommendations are driven by coverage fit, price, and claims reputation — never by commission levels or contingency bonuses.

  2. 02

    No misleading rate quoting

Quotes reflect real underwriting inputs. We do not shave mileage, omit drivers, understate prior losses, guess low on dwelling value, or apply discounts we expect to fall off.

  3. 03

    Transparent fees and compensation

Any agency fee is disclosed before purchase, and we answer honestly when a client asks how we are compensated.

  4. 04

    Licensing and appointment compliance

We write only in states where we are properly licensed and appointed.

  5. 05

    Client data privacy

Client information is used to place and service coverage. It is never sold, rented, or passed to third-party lead buyers.

  6. 06

    Honest reviews

We may ask every client for a review. We never pay for reviews, filter who is asked by expected sentiment, write reviews ourselves, or suppress negative feedback.

  7. 07

    Truthful advertising of certification

The Client First badge is displayed only while our certification is active, and never in a way that implies a guarantee of claim outcomes.

What we hold ourselves to

The standards above bind certified agencies. Three of them bind us too, and they are worth stating plainly because most directories cannot say them.

  • No agency pays us anything. Certification is free, listing is free, and ranking cannot be bought. There is no tier, no upgrade and no sponsored placement.
  • We do not sell your information. A quote request goes to the one agency you named, and to nobody else. We are not a lead broker and we do not resell consumer data.
  • We publish facts, not scores. Profiles show specific things a person verified and the agency's real Google rating, attributed to Google. We do not compute a proprietary trust number, because a number invented by us about a licensed producer would tell you nothing.

If a certified agency falls short

The badge is a promise, so there has to be a way to say the promise was broken. Every report is read by a person, and certification can be suspended or revoked.
